UFO Recession Tip 60 - Go Vegetarian

60alienvegetarianvegan_6

Earthlings, you are such carnivores. It is disgusting to us aliens.

Recession is a perfect opportunity for you to become healthy and green by becoming more of a vegetarian. Meat will be more expensive during tough times. We understand some Zorkplanetsqad200_4of you Earthlings will sneak off and be a carnivore once in a while, but try to resist. For your wallet as well as your health, eat less meat and more fruit, grains and especially vegetables.

TURN TO THE GREEN SIDE! Raw veggies and fruit are most healthful and most green.

Eating raw cuts down on your energy bills, because you aren’t cooking. It cuts down on your grocery bill, because there are no other ingredients necessary.

Eat local to be the most eco-friendly. Even better, eat from your own garden (See Recession Tip #14 Plant a Garden). Growing your own veggies and fruits is the most rewarding, cheapest, safest and most green. If you grow your own, you will be certain your food is organically grown.

GO VEGETARIAN TO SAVE MONEY!
1. You will be healthier, so you will have fewer doctor and hospital bills.

2. You will spend less at the grocery store.

BE VEGETARIAN TO SAVE YOUR BODY!
1. Plants contain no cholesterol or saturated fat.

2. Many nutrients the Earthling body requires can only be obtained through dining on plants. No supplements will ever fully replace the benefits of plants.

3. Fruits and veggies contain less pesticides, agricultural chemicals, bacterium or viruses than meat. Plants do not contain the hormones, antibiotics, worms, parasites, or other disgusting things found in meat.

4. Meat diets increase chances of heart disease, the #1 killer in your America.

5. Plant diets reduce chances of osteoporosis, kidney stones, gallstones, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, arthritis, gum disease, acne and obesity.

6. Plants contain fiber.

GO VEGETARIAN TO SAVE THE PLANET!
1. Conserve your planet's fossil fuel: It takes 78 calories of fossil fuel to produce 1 calorie of beef protein; 35 calories for 1 calorie of pork; 22 calories for 1 of poultry; but just 1 calorie of fossil fuel for 1 calorie of soybeans.  Eat plants instead of animals and you will help conserve our non-renewable sources of energy.

2. Conserve your planet's water. It takes 3 to 15 times as much water to produce animal protein as it does plant protein.

3. Saving your planet's forests.  Tropical forests in Brazil and other tropic regions are destroyed daily, in part, more acreage to raise livestock.

Please do not eat your animal friends. Especially pigs or hogs which are smarter thanAlienemail2_2 your pet canines. Here is a nice fruit salad for you to enjoy. Fix it, eat and we promise not to abduct you.

Place in a bowl: Slices of kiwi, strawberries, and fresh blueberries. Nothing else needed. Healthy and as yummy as anything we found on Earth.
